It started with losing things
I’m Naina. I write and I paint, and for years I lost my best ideas the same way everyone does — half-awake at six in the morning, mid-walk, mid-shower, absolutely certain I’d remember. I never did.
Awake began as the tool I wanted for myself: somewhere to say the thing out loud before it evaporated, and find it again months later when I was finally ready to use it.
We changed our mind in public
Awake started life as a sleep and wellness product — a dream journal. That wasn’t wrong, but it wasn’t the whole thing either. The people who kept using it weren’t tracking their sleep. They were screenwriters keeping pitchable ideas, designers catching a colour before it faded, musicians holding a melody that arrived at 3am.
So we followed them. Awake is an idea-capture tool now. Dreams are still in there — they’re often the best thing inside the container — but the job is broader and simpler: catch it, keep it, find it again.
Awake catches the spark. You do the work.
This is the line we won’t cross. Awake transcribes what you said, summarises it, and makes an image from your own words — so the thought survives the twenty minutes between having it and being able to sit down with it.

Who actually builds it
Cosmation AB is a Swedish limited company based in Stockholm, who built Awake with the support of an independent tech support team.
No investors, no ads, no data selling. It’s funded personally and it’s free for your first six months because the mission is to make art that would otherwise not be made. Subscribing is how you keep an independent, artist-run project alive.
