Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026. These terms cover the Awake mobile app and cosmation.ai.

1. Who you’re dealing with

Awake is provided by Cosmation AB, a limited company registered in Sweden (org. no. 559446-5022), Stockholm. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Cosmation AB. “You” means whoever is using the app or the website. “The Service” means both.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use it.

2. What Awake does

Awake lets you capture an idea by voice or text. It transcribes what you recorded, produces a summary and keywords, and generates an image from your own words. It stores the result in your personal archive so you can find it later.

Awake is a tool for capturing and keeping your own material. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional help of any kind — psychological, medical or otherwise. Anything it generates is a prompt for your own thinking, not advice.

3. Your account

  • You need a working email address. We send a short single-use code to it each time you sign in, instead of using passwords.
  • Keep access to that email secure. Codes expire after ten minutes, but anyone with ongoing access to your inbox can simply request a fresh one.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age for consent to data processing where you live, whichever is higher.
  • One account per person. Don’t share it.

4. What it costs

Awake is currently free for your first six months, with no payment details required. After that, continued use may require a paid subscription.

We will tell you clearly, by email and in the app, before any charge ever applies to you. We will never take payment without you actively agreeing to it first. If you decide not to continue, you’ll be able to delete your archive.

Where a subscription is bought through the App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, not ours.

5. Your content stays yours

You own everything you put into Awake, and everything Awake produces from it. Your recordings, your text, your transcripts, your summaries and your generated images belong to you.

You give us a limited licence to store and process your content solely in order to run the Service for you — transcribing it, summarising it, generating the image, and showing it back to you. That licence exists for no other purpose and ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell it. We do not publish it or use it in marketing without asking you first and getting a clear yes.

6. About the AI, plainly

  • Transcription is not perfect. Summaries can miss the point. Generated images are interpretations, not illustrations — they will sometimes be wrong or strange.
  • Generated images are produced from your words by an automated system. Similar prompts can produce similar images for different people, so we can’t promise any generated image is unique.
  • Awake is a capture tool. It doesn’t make your work, and it isn’t a co-author.

7. What you can’t do

  • Upload content you have no right to use, or anything unlawful.
  • Use Awake to generate material that is illegal, that sexualises children, or that harasses or endangers anyone.
  • Try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
  • Scrape it, resell it, or build a competing service out of it.
  • Use automated systems to create accounts or generate entries at scale.

If you do these things we may suspend or close your account. Where it’s proportionate, we’ll warn you first.

8. Sharing

If you choose to share an entry or an image outside the app, you’re responsible for where it goes and who sees it. Once shared, we can’t retrieve it.

9. Availability

We’ll do our best to keep Awake running, but it’s built and maintained by a very small team. There will be downtime, bugs, and occasional maintenance. We may change or remove features as the product develops. If we ever discontinue the Service entirely, we’ll give you reasonable notice.

10. Keep your own copies

We back up our systems, but no backup is infallible. If a particular idea genuinely matters to you, don’t let Awake be the only place it exists.

11. Liability

The Service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost content. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, from the app or by emailing us. We may close an account that breaches these terms. On deletion, your content is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we’ll notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to the Swedish courts, in Stockholm, Sweden.
